Christina Markell is an artist and writer residing in Sonoma County, California. She started her artistic journey by crafting intricate dioramas, assemblages, and collages using found and up-cycled materials. Her artistic evolution took a significant turn when she inherited an easel and paints from her artist mother-in-law, Karin Battat. Inspired by this gift, Christina delved into the world of painting, with a focus on semi-abstract and mixed media landscapes inspired by the gorgeous surroundings of the Sonoma coast and countryside.
